I'm tired of hearing which comic series is going to be a movie next. Yet, when they show it in theaters, I still go watch.
The fun in this movie stems from the dynamics of the group that finds itself an instant family after an accident in space has made it close to impossible for them to continue living a normal life. Johnny and Susan finding out they can't wear ordinary clothes (the clothes burn on Johnny, and Susan has to undress if she wants to be really invisible) is also worth a laugh.
The touching moment was when Ben Grimm's wife refuses to take him back after seeing he'd become what we call as The Thing.
For Grimm to choose to remain The Thing even if the technology to change him back exists sounds kind of stupid to me - but then, we won't have a fantastic four without him, would we?
I'd watch it again if they show it on cable, but I won't buy the DVD.
