The mythology that serves as the background of the story here has stepped up a notch.

Sparrow is as crazy as ever. If he seemed eccentric in the first 2 movies, this movie certifies him a lunatic.

The mix of Sparrow's giddy reality and the serious backdrop of the rest of the story does not always mesh well, however. Sometimes you don't know what direction the movie wants to take. Then again, maybe that was the direction the writers wanted to take.

This being the final movie in the series, everybody from the first two movies is back, plus a few more new faces are introduced. That means that inspite of the fact that the movie is almost 3 hours long, some actors appear only briefly.

It was annoying for the movie trailers to hype up the appearance of Chow Yun Fat, only to find out that you already saw half of his appearance in this movie in the trailer. I was expecting to see more of him.

This installment, which now tackles the quest for King Arthur, still has some laughs. Some of the jokes are getting a bit tired though. Some, like Shrek's nightmare about lots of babies, are not even funny.

Not a waste of time, but not something I'd repeat watching like the first one.

As if dealing with not-your-regular earth villains isn't enough, Spiderman has to deal with an alien entity that unleashes the evil within the hero. Peter Parker's dark side happens to be one big dork, though.

No idea what the point was of having Sandman in the plot when it served little purpose in moving the story forward.

They tried to put too much into the pot that not much character development happened to either Venom or Sandman. Nice fight scenes though.

I miss the "innocence" of Spiderman 1 and the "heart" of Spiderman 2.
